Appearance: A Yoshi with orange skin, purple spikes and boots, and a green saddle.
He also wears a brown trench coat and reddish-brown, checker-patterned deer stalker cap.
Personality: An adult version of the Yoshi partner from Paper Mario: The
Thousand-Year Door who grew out of his 'cool' phase and became interested in detective work. He
is socially awkward and too focused on grammar (though his own grammar is far from flawless), but
he has powerful observational skills. He plays dangerous psychological games with his archenemy
Noshi, who is an evil, mutated clone of his dead father; his mother is dead too. Having been
raised by Mario and Glitz Pit competitors, he retains a reckless streak, but usually appears
mild-mannered. He's a bit conflicted about working for Bowser, but his money troubles force him
Backstory: A yellow, female Yoshi named Melony and her husband Günther had a nest
of eggs, but a tropical storm crushed all but one of them and killed Melony, too. Günther did not
know that the egg survived, and in fact it did not hatch for several years, incubated in a
storage room before it was shipped to Glitzville to be used as a hot dog ingredient. Mario saved
it while on his latest quest, and it hatched into a rough-and-tumble Yoshi Kid who became one of
Mario's partners for the remainder of the expedition. Afterward, the Yoshi became the new
Champion of the Glitz Pit, and eventually settled down into comfortable poverty, losing his bad
attitude but heightening his interest in mysteries. When he was hired by Bowser to solve a
particularly baffling case, he met Noshi, a mutated Yoshi with additional powers and a bizarre
way of behaving who served Bowser, and learned that Noshi had been cloned from Günther, and
Günther had died in the process. Sven subsequently stopped Noshi from taking over the world, but
has since been employed in Bowser's unlikely police force, the Severely Verisimilitudinous
Encounters Unit or S.v.e.u., where Noshi has kept a close eye on him. Toadette, previously Sven's
secretary, is now his partner at S.v.e.u., and they work alongside the Dragon Bros., two Hammer
Bros. who raise pet dragons, to eliminate Bowser's competition in the field of villainy. Sven
still sides against Bowser when he attempts to kidnap the princess or take over the world. The
S.v.e.u. has solved many peculiar cases and in the end finally gained a little respect from the
Rogueport Police Department's Captain Cleigh and his partner Lieutenant S'Hrumi.
Trivia: Sven is the star of Papyrus Mysterium, would be the star of the 'Sven'
series and Papyrus Mysterium: The Primordial Stars if they were written, and makes several
appearances in Noshi's story in the NintendoLand Paper Mario RP. He is basically a Mary-Sue of
me, the Grate Oracle Lewot.
