Elemental Armor
These suits of armor have Elemental Modifiers that apply to the damage that they take, but not the damage that the wearer takes. Since the initial damage that the wearer takes is based on their own Elemental Modifiers, these still factor in to the amount of damage that the armor is going to take, but this number is secondarily modified by the armor's own Modifiers. The Garden-Variety Armor also absorbs healing just like it does damage, enabling relatively easy repair but lessening the effects of healing on the host.
