Information
A fusion of a regular Sandcroc and its variant, the Nightcroc. The two are nearly identical, with the Nightcroc having higher attack; combined, they deal an impressive 25 damage, and sit pretty with 60 HP. Their strategies haven't changed at all with fusion, though. I guess the color would be tealish.
Notes
- A Night Sandcroc alternates between hiding underground and having its head exposed above the sand, where it's vulnerable to attacks like a normal grounded target. While underground, they can only be hit by psychic attacks and earthquake-type attacks, just like a character who has the Underground Status Benefit, but a Night Sandcroc being underground doesn't count as a Status Condition, and it therefore can't be forced aboveground by items or abilities that remove Status Conditions. Being ambush predators, the players will generally be unaware that Night Sandcrocs are even present in battle until they first emerge to attack, unless a Night Sandcroc has made a First Strike, in which case its attack cycle will be offset compared to any other Sandcrocs, Nightcrocs, or Night Sancrocs in the same battle. Even if a multitarget psychic or earthquake-like attack damages Night Sandcrocs before they've been revealed, the attacker may not be made aware of their presence. However, a character preparing to use a single-target psychic attack might sense a Night Sandcroc's mind(s?) as a potential target, revealing its existence without using up that character's turn.
