Name: Pea Shooter
Type: Projectile
Subtype: Pistol
Element: Plant
Ailment: None
Power: 1
Hits: 1
Ammo: 5 (Pea Pod)
Information: A handgun manufactured in the Beanbean Kingdom. It fires peas.
Name: Peanut Popgun
Type: Projectile
Subtype: Pistol
Element: None
Ailment: None
Power: 2
Hits: 1
Ammo: 25 (Peanuts), 5 (Homing Peanuts)
Information: A wooden pistol normally wielded by Diddy Kong, often in pairs and
sometimes along with his barrel jetpack. Debuting in Donkey Kong 64, it's become a
recurring and iconic part of Diddy's arsenal. Like the rest of the Kong weapons, it fires food
items as ammunition, in this case peanuts. Each peanut takes up an inventory slot when carried
outside of the gun, but each Popgun can hold 25 peanuts inside—rather more than a typical pistol.
However, fired peanuts don't do much damage and dual-wielding would require a custom-made special
attack. But in a separate tally than the regular peanuts, a Popgun can also hold 5 homing peanuts,
which will swerve through the air to seek out their target.
Name: Shrooblaster
Type: Projectile
Subtype: Pistol
Element: None

Ammo: Infinite
Information: A laser gun used by the
Shroobs. It fires spheres of pink energy.
Name: Super Shrooblaster
Type: Projectile
Subtype: Pistol
Element: None
Ailment: None
Power: 6

Ammo: Infinite
Information: A stronger Shrooblaster than the standard-issue kind, used by
Guardian Shroobs and the like.
Name: Rage Blaster
Type: Projectile
Subtype: Pistol
Element: None
Ailment: None
Power: 1 + (Max Danger Zone - Current HP, min 0)
Hits: 1
Ammo:
Information: A laser gun from Super Smash Bros. that draws power from
the user's pain, therefore dealing more damage the further the user is into the Danger Zone.
(Since Paper Mario enemies have low HP, for them it's just Max HP - Current HP.)
Unlike in Smash, this version never runs out of shots, but it's not much use when the shooter's
in good health.
Name: Ki Blaster
Type: Projectile
Subtype: Pistol
Element: None
Ailment: None
Power: Attack x2
Hits: 1
Ammo: 1 VP per shot
Information: A laser gun that draws its power from the user's own life energy. This
means that it costs 1 VP to fire, and unlike other projectile weapons, its damage depends on the
user's Attack Power, which in turn means that it's affected by things like
Attack Increases and
Decreases,
Charging, etc.
Information: A non-lethal weapon used by agents of SHIELD. It fires darts that
inject a dendrotoxin to cause paralysis, which therefore won't work on characters who are immune
to the Poison Element. The technology was invented by Leopold Fitz and Jemma Simmons.
Name: Freeze Ray
Type: Projectile
Subtype: Pistol
Element: Ice
Ailment: Freeze, Turns: 3, Chance: 100%
Power: 0
Hits: 1
Ammo: Infinite
Information: A classic science fiction weapon. It does no direct damage but encases
the target in ice, immobilizing them. Since it can be used repeatedly to keep foes frozen while
whittling down their HP, it's quite overpowered and generally shouldn't be given out to player
characters; however, it does have one notable flaw in that anyone who's immune to the Ice Element
will be completely immune to the ray's effects. This could potentially create some interesting
puzzle-like battles.
Name: Death Ray
Type: Projectile
Subtype: Pistol
Element: None
Ailment: Instant Death, Chance: 100%
Power: 0
Hits: 1
Ammo: Infinite
Information: A classic science fiction weapon that fires a beam of energy that
almost immediately reduces the target to nothing but their skeleton, or perhaps a pile of ash.
This is obviously ridiculously overpowered and shouldn't be given to the players, but could prove
useful for barring them from certain areas. However, take note: in Arpeggio, inflicting
"Instant Death" on someone
technically counts as giving them a Status Problem (the status, I guess, being "dead"), and
therefore, if somebody has a condition that blocks Status Problems such as
Neutralize or
Safeguard, then that person is immune to
the Instant Death effect. (They can still be killed in one hit by sufficient damage numbers, as
that counts as a completely different thing.) A character taking advantage of this against a
cocky Death Ray wielder could make for an epic moment, even if it doesn't make much conceptual
sense.
Name: Squirt Gun
Type: Projectile
Subtype: Pistol
Element: Water
Ailment: None
Power: 0
Hits: 1
Ammo:
Information: A toy water pistol. It's not a real weapon, so it won't do any damage
to most people; however, since it shoots water, anyone weak to water will take damage equal to
their Elemental Modifier, so either 2 or 5. Like a FLUDD, ammo can be refilled at any source of
water rather than specifically needing the Water Bottle item.
Name: Dismodulating Antiphase Stun-Ray
Type: Projectile
Subtype: Pistol
Element: None
Ailment: Paralysis, Turns: 1, Chance: 50%, Removes all Status Benefits (separate 50% chance)
Power: 4
Hits: 1 [O]
Ammo: Infinite
Information: The gun used to attack Ford Prefect, Zaphod Beeblebrox, and Trillian
in the tunnels of Magrathea before inviting them to an amazingly keen meal by way of making it up
to them. Its name was meangingless technobabble, so I just gave it an effect that seemed vaguely
appropriate. In this case, "dismodulating" refers to removing Status Benefits, "antiphase" lets
it always hit, and... well, "stun," so it may Paralyze.
