Technicalities

• Appearance: A grey-furred anthropomorphic hyena. Standing at 5'6" and his build is average. His fur is speckled with black splotches. His eyes are a light grey.
• Personality: In general, he retains a positive attitude, as long as everyone else is all right. A laid-back type of person, though once he's angered he seems a different person entirely.
• Backstory: He was born outside of human society to monster parents in the Hacidian Plains, a savanna west of Trelvet. Jay was too little to remember, but he does know that something had happened to his specific tribe in that savanna that separated him from his birth parents and drove other anthropomorphic hyenas (steppenhyänen) from their homes. He wandered aimlessly for a while, still very young, before he met his human foster parents. They treated him as a pet at first, not thinking much of it before Jay began speaking English. The more humanly Jay became, the more he was treated as a human being rather than a monster. He was scholared a little, but he enjoyed training with the sword more than learning. He hadn't any friends due to his appearance during his childhood, and so developed a shy attitude and awkwardness. Though when he's discriminated against he becomes angry, perhaps overly so since prejudice is something he has only recently learnt of.
• Trivia: He has an inexplicable distaste for bananas. Also loves watching the moon.
