Information

A purple variety of Quartz Gem, designed to be powerful frontline soldiers. Amethysts in particular fight with whips, and can also use a rolling attack similar to Sonic The Hedgehog. The Amethyst belonging to the Crystal Gems was "overcooked," emerging from the ground late and undersized, so while she is our primary point of reference for the type's abilities, the average Amethyst is known to be much bigger and stronger than her, hence the stats seen here. That being said, without her years of training they are also likely to be less versatile—for example, her proficiency in shapeshifting does not apply to the type at large; they can use basic Gem shapeshifting, but don't get any creative special attacks themed around it.
