Information

A rare type of Gem whose actual gemstone takes the shape of a heart (although it's been suggested that they could have other shapes, such as the remaining suits of a deck of cards). Their color differs depending on what kind of Gem they were created to serve, and that servitude takes the form of personal entertainment, in the manner of a court jester or birthday clown. To this end, a Spinel's shapeshifting is more potent than that of other Gems, allowing her to act out visual gags such as might be found in an old cartoon. We saw how these can be turned into attacks in Steven Universe: The Movie, although most Spinels wouldn't be allowed to carry around a Rejuvenator.
