Information
A fusion of several skeletal enemies: a Dry Bones, a Fish Bone, a Bone Piranha, and a Bony Beetle. The result is pretty much just a disorganized but animate pile of random bones, and would therefore be quite creepy. And hoo boy, does it live (or... unlive) up to that: not only is its base Attack Power 20 (or 22 when its spikes are extended), but since it doesn't have any Elemental weaknesses (and is in fact healed by Fire and gets both its HP and VP restored by Poison), there is no way to take it out permanently. It will always rise back up to continue fighting, even after it's used the Fish Bone's kamikaze attack. Needless to say, it might be better to just run away instead of trying to collapse it for XP, but with the Fish Bone's swimming ability combined with the Bone Piranha's burrowing, it can effectively swim underground (like a Dirt Cheep), meaning you may be ambushed by one at any time. Of course, forcing it to unfuse is a potential solution, but it's questionable whether the players would have this ability. "Dem Bones" is the name of the song from which the term "Dry Bones" originates.
Notes
- Dem Bones have two forms: spiked and unspiked. When their spikes are extended, they count as Spiky, and thier basic attack deals 10 damage instead of 8. The spikes extend or retract every time the Dem Bones takes damage from an attack (only changing once for multiple-hit attacks), but not if an attack deals no damage or is interrupted by Spikiness. A Dem Bones may begin battle in either form, including multiple Dem Bones starting in different forms. Upon death, a Dem Bones collapses into a pile of bones that can still be targeted by attacks, but further damage to the pile has no harmful effect on it, although it will continue to extend and retract its spikes. As a pile, it can only use its Zombie Revival attack, which it can't use when it's still alive. XP is only awarded the first time it collapses. If only still-collapsed piles remain on the enemy team, then the players can choose to end the battle, but the Dem Bones will shortly revive in the field and attempt to reengage them in battle. There is no way to kill a Dem Bones permanently.
