Information
A Chain Chomp (untethered but trailing the chain) with swirly eyes and a small dot on the top. The dot is actually a hole where a Fworm burrowed into the poor Chomp's head, driving it insane. If the metallic Chomp body becomes very hot or very cold, the Fworm will pop its head out and expose itself to attacks. If the Fworm is defeated, the Chomp will regain its faculties and leave the battle. This is generally easier than defeating the Chomp itself, but if that is done, you won't need to beat the Fworm afterward.
Notes
- Though the Chawful is immune to Fire and Ice attacks, if it's hit by one, the Fworm inside it will pop out on top and become separately targetable, with its own HP, defenses, Elemenetal Modifiers, etc. If a Chawful's Fworm is exposed, then at the beginning of the next Enemy Phase, it will retract back into the Chawful without using up the Chawful's turn. However, if the Fworm dies, the Chawful's eyes turn from swirly to normal Chomp eyes, and it will immediately (regardless of turn order and such) try to Run Away from the battle, and will subsequently try to do so for its every later action if it was unsuccessful. There is no way to target or damage the Fworm while it's inside the Chawful (though if it had been Poisoned or the like, it will take damage from that), but if the Chawful is killed while the Fworm is inside, the Fworm automatically dies with it. If the Chawful is killed, its XP value is awarded but the Fworm's is not; if the Fworm is killed, the Fworm's XP value is awarded but the Chawful's is not.
