Information
A familiar Mario enemy, but one that was absent from the first Paper Mario game and only played a non-battle role in the second. Here, it's the ultimate expression of a high-Defense enemy who is best targeted by psychic or piercing attacks. With the exception of Super Mario 64 and some knockoffs thereof, Thwomps are generally portrayed as being covered in spikes, but these spikes can often be stood on without taking damage, and at any rate you could target the face, so they don't count as Spiky in Arpeggio terms. Due to their up-and-down movement pattern, they only attack every other turn.
Notes
- ~As noted for its basic attack, it alternates between air and ground positions; naturally, it counts as flying while in the air, but not while on the ground
- ~It always begins in the air unless it has made a First Strike
